Starting at a young age my youngest child in particular was obsessed with the human body and how her body worked. Since she was very much a hands-on learner I searched for and provided her lots of hands-on activities to help her explore the human body. Human anatomy is something your children can explore at any age with the right resources.

Human Anatomy Books For Children By Age
There are so many wonderful human anatomy and human body books out there. I decided to break these down by ones for young kids through elementary, and then middle/high school and beyond.
Human Body Books for Young Kids
- My First Human Body Book – This cool coloring book includes 28 drawings that explore muscles, bones, lungs, and more. Kids can read about how their voice box works, how their tongue tastes food, how their DNA is different from their family and friends, and more.
- The Human Anatomy and Physiology Coloring Book – There are 50+ illustrations in this activity coloring book for kids and teens.
- Human Body Activity Books for Young Kids – This is a 9 book series for young kids. In this series kids can learn about the human body systems through a wide range of activities, such as coloring, reading, and other activities. These give your children a wonderful chance to learn a lot about the anatomy of their own bodies in simple steps.

- Young Scientist Anatomy & Physiology – This is an online, self-paced, one semester course for kids in grades 4-7. It covers scientific method, overview of human anatomy and physiology and these systems: skeletal, muscular, circulatory – heart, blood, veins, arteries, digestive, and respiratory. Reproductive system is not covered.
